I know Him by His signs and creation like the day
and night; the sun and the moon; the heaven and the earth; and all that is
there in and between them.
Allah (SWT) is above the heavens, raised over the Throne and separated from His creatures. The proof is in the Quran:
Al-A'raf 7:54 |
Al-Mulk 67:16 |
Yunus 10:3 |
Ar-Ra'd 13:2 |
Ta-Ha 20:5 |
Al-Mu'minun 23:86, 116 |
As-Sajdah 32:4 |
Al-Hadid 57:4 |
And in a long Hadith found in Saheeh Muslim, it is narrated that the companion Mu`awiyah ibn al-Hakam, (RA) slapped his servant girl who used to tend his sheep, and as a result when to the Prophet (SAW) and asked what should be done as an atonement for having slapped her. The Prophet (SAW) replied, "Bring her to me" so Mu`awiyah brought her to the Prophet (SAW). The Prophet (SAW) then asked her, "Where is Allaah?" and she replied "Above the Sky" then the Prophet (SAW) asked her, "Who am I?" and she replied, "You are Allaahs Messenger", so the Prophet (SAW) said, "Free her, for verily she is a true believer." (Saheeh Muslim, Vol 1, Hadith #1094, English Translation)
Allah (SWT) is settled over His Mighty Throne, but He is with us by His Knowledge, Hearing, Seeing and other attributes. As He said:
"Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing,
and seeing." (Ta-Ha 20:46)
Those people who are the friends of Allah (SWT)
are those who are pious and righteous, who fear Allah (SWT) much, who abstain
from all kinds of sins and who perform all kinds of goods, and who holdfast
to the Quran and the Sunnah.
I worship Allah (SWT) in a manner in which all my
Ibadah
is dedicated to Him Alone. I do not ascribe anyone with Him in worship,
Insha-Allah.
Allah (SWT) sent Messengers to call the people to worship Him Alone, not ascribing any partners (i.e. sons, daughters, etc.) with him; and in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah (SWT).
