If your child (like mine) isn't into one-on-one learning simply leave a worksheet or two out on the table along with their box of markers (or whatever they love to write with). At various times start working on a worksheet yourself while the child is looking on. Soon you will see that the child wants to imitate you and they will start doing the worksheets on their own, Insha-Allah.
