It is permissible in 'Eid only, and therefore the Messenger (SAW) censured Abu Bakr (RA) when he tried to prevent that on the 'Eid.
And the matter is as understood by Abu Bakr (RA) - that it is forbidden for men or women to strike the 'Duff' at any time just as for other instruments - except that the 'Eid and Marriage are excepted from that forbiddance.
And so striking the 'Duff' is something haram - but even worse is making that 'Ibaadah (worship) as the Sufis do. - Sheikh Albaani (ra)
The Quran is beautiful, Allahu Akbar!!!
Listening to the Quran daily instead of Nasheed will earn great rewards in this life and the next, Insha-Allah. Children can benefit greatly from listening to the Quran daily, Insha-Allah. Nasheed will not benefit in this life or the next, Quran will, Insha-Allah.
*** Save the Nasheed for Eid ***
