We arrived in Gujranwala around noon after a nice quick journey by the Grace of Allah (SWT). Some of the children from the family were in the bazzar when we arrived. As the van drove through the bazzar, the children followed us all the way home. Some of the children ran way ahead to tell the family that we had arrived. Everyone was so excited that we had returned.
Upon entering the home my children (Abdullah and Hafsah) were scared of anyone other than us (Ami and Abu). They wouldn't go to anyone. Hafsah went to Dadda Abu (my husband's father) briefly. We sat downstairs in the open living area with the family for awhile. We talked and tried to get the children to go to various family members. Our arrival was just before Jumuah prayer. I made wudu and prayed Thuhr downstairs. I wasn't sure if I should go upstairs to my home yet. I wasn't sure if the door was unlocked. My husband was busy with Jumuah, so I just sat downstairs patiently waiting to go upstairs and sleep.
After Thuhr my husband's younger sister (Nuni - I think it means "youngest girl of the family") arrived at the home from Gujranwala city. My husband's family home is in the village. Nuni just got married last November while we were in America. We weren't able to attend her marriage, so this was my first time I got to see her as a married woman, Masha-Allah. She had come with my husband's nephew on the back of the motorcycle. I was very excited to see her because she is the one that I talk to the most. She is the one that always visits me upstairs when I am lonely. Nuni is the one that keeps rephrasing in Urdu what she wants to say so that I can understand her Urdu, Masha-Allah. I communicate in Urdu with Nuni the most. I am not fluent in Urdu, but I ask Allah (SWT) to make me fluent one day, Ameen.
After Nuni showed up I was able to communicate my needs and then get the older boys to carry our luggage upstairs to my home. Nuni and I briefly made the bedroom suitable for sleeping. She could see that the children and I were sleepy so she left us and went downstairs.
After Asr the children and I slept. I rolled out of sleep for Maghrib and then slept again. I rolled out again for Isha and then slept until Fajr, Masha-Allah. The children slept this entire time as well, Masha-Allah. My husband fell in around Maghrib or Isha, I think. I was so tired I don't really remember.
