The flight to Pakistan is about 8 hours. We are now 3 hours away from Islamabad, Pakistan, Alhamdulillah. The flight has been pleasant and British Airways served everyone Muslim meals because nearly everyone on board this flight is Pakistani.
We arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan around 6:00 am. We made wudu on the plane just before landing so that we could pray as soon as we entered the airport. As soon as our passports were stamped by immigration we went straight to the prayer area in the airport (just a few feet away) and prayed Fajr.
Getting our luggage and passing through customs was fast and easy, Alhamdulillah. After passing through customs we found my husband's mother, one of my husband's brothers, his wife, their youngest daughter, one of my husband's sisters, her husband and their youngest son and daughter. Masha-Allah, they were all waiting for our arrival. My children, Abdullah and Hafsah, were scared of anyone other than the two of us (Ami and Abu). They were sticking to us like glue, Masha-Allah.
The men lost the van that brought the family to the airport. If you don't have atleast one person stay with the van, this is what happens in Pakistan. We thought for sure the van had taken off with all their belongings, but they kept searching for the van anyway. They searched for the van for 30 to 45 minutes. I made du'a and asked Allah (SWT) to help them locate the van because we were tired, just wanted to get out of the airport, and on our way to Gujranwala. Gujranwala is about a 4 hours drive from Islamabad, Pakistan.
Finally, the van was found parked across the street outside the airport parking lot in a gas station lot, Allahu Akbar! Finally, we left the airport for Gujranwala sometime between 8:00 and 9:00 am.
