My husband and I each took a quick ghusl before leaving for the airport. We did this just in case we aren't able to go to Madinah before going to Makkah. We will ask the Saudi Airline officials before leaving Lahore if we can still fly to Madinah first, Insha-Allah. Our plan is to make Ihram from Dhul Hulaifah just as the Prophet (SAW) did, Insha-Allah.
Our original departure date (Monday) was suppose to take us to Jeddah and then we had instructions from our group leader to fly directly to Madinah and catch up with our group from Michigan (America). Therefore, we are keep with the same plan until we are told otherwise, Insha-Allah.
We left for the airport after Fajr. At the airport, as I was getting out of the truck and I got caught on the seat and fell out of the truck. My arm and back seem to be injured a bit, Masha-Allah.
Right now we are sitting in the airport terminal and it's around 8:30 am. The plane leaves around 10:30 am, Insha-Allah. My husband checked with the Saudi Airline officials and they said that we can still fly into Madinah.
The Pakistani officials in the terminal are telling everyone to put on their Ihram now, Astagh Ferrullah. Nearly everyone has on their Ihram in the airport. They told us a couple of times and a couple of times my husband told them that we are going to Madinah first, Insha-Allah.
The Ihram is not suppose to be put on until just before reaching the Miqat. The airline is suppose to make an announcement just before the arrival of the Miqat so people going for Hajj can assume Ihram at that time, not before and not after (if going to Makkah first). Allahu Alim why these people have Ihram on in the airport.
Now we are on the plane to Jeddah. We have 56 minutes left until arrival in Jeddah, Insha-Allah. The airline served us a Pakistani meal and a lot to drink, Alhamdulillah. Hafsah has a bit of diarrhea today and the fall from the truck really messed up my back, Masha-Allah.
During the flight the pilot did make an announcement just before the arrival of the Miqat. This was the time everyone was suppose to put on their Ihram, if they are going to Makkah first. Hardly anyone got up because most of the passengers already had Ihram on, Astagh Ferrullah. I think I read that you have to make a sacrifice if you don't assume Ihram before the Miqat, Allahu Alim. My husband and I are going to Madinah to assume Ihram from Dhul Hulaifah as the Prophet (SAW) did, Insha-Allah.
I am sitting by the window in the plane. The seats are very comfortable, Alhamdulillah. The direction of the Qiblah is right up on the screen for everyone to see, Masha-Allah. I also heard that there is a masjid in the back of the plane, Masha-Allah. There is no time now, so I will look at that masjid on the way back from Hajj, Insha-Allah. It's nearly landing time now, just a few minutes to go, Alhamdulillah.
